Director of Rehabilitation Services

Crittenden Community Hospital has an immediate opening for Director of Rehabilitation Services.

To manage all rehabilitation staff in the Crittenden Community Hospital Facilities, the Director of Rehabilitation Services must be able to provide a combination of patient care activities in all settings including outpatient, inpatient, home health, and any contractual agreements. The Director of Rehabilitation Services must possess good business skills to promote the growth of Crittenden Community Hospital Rehabilitation Services Department.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1.Orient, train, and counsel rehabilitation department employees to achieve and maintain high standard of care.

2.Supervises therapy student programs.

3.Attends all department head meetings.

4.Coordinates staffing to maintain good productivity in each of the Crittenden Community Hospital facilities.

5.Assures compliance with appropriate policies and procedures for the department and facility.

6.Approves or denies purchase requisitions based on a need and budget.

7.Develops CQI performance measures and reports data quarterly to appropriate committee.

8.Alters department procedures based on CQI reports and the need for improving performance in identified area

9.Adheres to JCAHO standards.

10.Promotes and participates in performance improvement activities.

11.Supports the corporate mission: to provide quality, cost-effective healthcare in a positive and productive work environment.

12.Adheres to the corporate values: respect, quality service, teamwork, simplicity, and creativity.

13.Must attend all mandatory meetings.

14.Complies with all applicable state and federal laws and conducts job activities in an ethical manner as outlined in Crittenden Community Hospital policies and procedures and in accordance with the standards and practices stipulated in the Corp. Compliance Plan.

EDUCATION, TRAINING OR EXPERIENCE:

1.Graduate from an accredited program for Physical Therapy/Physical Therapy Asst, Occupational Therapy/Occupational Therapy Asst,or Speech-Language Pathologist.

2.Current licensure as a therapist in the state of practice as required.

3.Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.

4.Must possess problem-solving skills of the type and level necessary to accomplish the job.

5.Must possess management and supervising skills.

6.Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to clients, client family members, and family staff.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Performs other related duties as assigned.

2.Home Health work is performed in the home care setting in the counties of Caldwell, Crittenden, Livingston, and Lyon.

3.Must have working automobile available for use on daily basis, responsible for maintenance on the vehicle. Responsible for providing proof of insurance coverage upon
request.

4.Must have a valid Driver’s License
