Emergency Department Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
Crittenden Community Hospital is looking for PRN Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for the Emergency Department.
Provide direct patient care such as triage, assessment, treatment and disposition of all acuity levels. Tasks include, but are not limited to, skilled procedures such as suturing, airway management and management of musculoskeletal injuries. All services are under the direction and supervision of the Emergency Services Physicians. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will work closely with ancillary services and outside services such as ground and air medical transport.
Single Provider Emergency Department, 15-20 Average Daily Census, Call Room Provided.
$2500 Sign on Bonus potential.
The APP must demonstrate competency in Emergency Medicine using critical thinking, clinical knowledge and skills pertinent to the neonatal, pediatrics, adolescents, adult and geriatric populations. The APP must also demonstrate an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and developmental process as appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
Preferred: One year ED experience as APP and/or Two years Acute/Urgent Care experience
Qualifications/Education for Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
· Current KY license with board certification
· Current KY RN license or compact state (NP only)
· Current, BLS, ACLS, PALS. NRP and ATLS within one year of employment. DEA required when applicable.
Nurse Practitioner: Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing w/ either FNP/ENP. Acute Care must have Pediatric certification.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of Accredited Physician Assistant Program
